I think Bangladesh can turn it around against Afghanistan, it looks like they will play two matches in a row as Zimbabwe don't have a chance at making it so Bangladesh and Afghanistan will be playing two matches in a row. We will see if Bangladesh have learned from their previous defeat, I'm just happy to see another team like Afghanistan playing well and challenging teams.
A win against Zimbabwe is not going to do anything to boost the confidence of the Bangladeshi players. Afghanistan is a far better team, in every department of the game. They have world class players (Rashid Khan, Mohammed Nabi.etc), and I expect them to become the second ranked side from South Asia, overtaking teams such as Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
It has been more than two decades since Bangladesh was awarded the test status. But even after that when compared to Afghanistan (which was awarded test status very recently), their progress has been very slow. There have been a few bright moments during the past two decades, but the Bangladesh team has failed to perform consistently against the top sides.
