Lol!We now must know the unspeakable word that notified them all

I was also marveled when i receive a notification from the Italian board and i started wondering if i mistakenly made a post in the Italian Board or with Italian Language for my username to be mentioned there, only for me to check and see other users giving complaints about the experience also and from what am seeing, it looks like the whole forum members that are making use of the telegram super notifier bot got the notification as well. Good to know it has been fixed now and thank you @TryNinja for quick response to the situation.

This is something I've been meaning to ask here for some time now, but I've not been able to locate this thread, but finally, I remembered to use the forum's search function and here am I, I feel kind of stupid anyway; for not remembering to use search function since the first day 😁

Anyways, I recently (like 2 going to 3 months ago) started using the forum's telegram notification bot, but so far, I've not been getting merit notifications, I do get quote/reply/mention notifications, like when another user quote my reply/comment, or mention my username in his or her comment, I do get a reply, but each time recieve merit, the bot doesn't notify me of it..



And I am wondering, with my bot notification setting looking exactly like the above shot, any reason why I am not getting merit notifications?

Not at all boss, didnt get the notification, you can see from the screenshot I freshly took from my bot's interface right now..



Just notification of your replay and nothing more.

Is this fix valid for all users or was it just for this one?


I say this because now you have made me raise a question. Anyone can set up notifications on behalf of any user. I may have a stalker without knowing it, and want to receive the same notifications as me. 

In other words, does the bot send notifications to just one account, or to all accounts the user is configured for?

So sorry for the late response, I was actually typing a reply to this question you asked and I can't even tell how I slept off even while my phone was in my hands.

I actually have two phones, but one is faulty and I stopped using it for the moment, I sure did have my second  telegram account running on that phone and was using the bot on that account before the phone got faulty and I had to drop it.

I recently created this particular telegram account and decide to start using the bot with this since I am yet to fix the other device.

Thank you very much, sincerely appreciate, I had no idea that this could possibly have been the issue, but thank you very much again for helping me fix it, I got a merit notification from you yesterday when I possibly had slept off, this confirmed that indeed, the issue is fixed.

Did you stop/block the bot before?

When the bot tries to send someone a notification and the telegram api returns the error "bot was blocked by the user", you're marked as blocked on my database and the bot stops trying to send you notifications. I guess this was your case since you had: blocked = true.

You are automatically unblocked and start getting notifications again if you runstart and repeat the initial setup, but I guess you must have just unblocked the bot without running the command?
