"Only Direct Mentions" on the Notifications page if you
only want to get notified when someone
quotes your posts or tags you with an @.
If
enabled:
"Hello TryNinja!" -> 🚫 you're NOT notified
"Hello @TryNinja!" -> ✅ you're notified
If
disabled:
"Hello TryNinja!" -> ✅ you're notified
"Hello @TryNinja!" -> ✅ you're notified

All quotes are notified regardless of the option.

This is useful for those users with a common word as username. When this option is disabled, someone with the username "happy" will get notified everytime someone writes the word, even if it has nothing to do with the user. "I'm very happy today!" -> annoying notifications.

this is the only thing i get annoyed at tbh, even the random notification i get from the german board whenever someone say zwei which is two in german doesn't annoy me as much.
maybe because i expect people who have been on the forum for a while to know better than to quote a big list of usernames for no reason when they can just link to it.
