First of all, I never had close to a thousand merits, and then I don't think Satoshi will be back in the future. Yeah, you should report to telegram for not working when it needed most. Telegram played with you. You git fooled by Telegram. So, I would say Congratulations to Telegram Team for successfully fooling TryNinja.

I had some crazy Idea for theymos. But, I don't know if he will dare to do it. Imagine Satoshi returned and posted hey I am Back on 1st April.

I had to go back and check my merit history, then I searched through my posts. And I didn't stop there - I even looked up Satoshi's last active date and his merit history.

So, overall, you won this one.

I'd rate it even higher than theymos's April prank, because that one was predictable, but this was a complete surprise.

What a great way to start the new month! I received the notification and was like, "Who the f*ck gave me 50 merits?🤷" I tried to click the link about three different times, but it kept taking me to YouTube.
If not for this post, I wouldn't have known how tricky our Tryninja can be.

And you got me too. I slept last night expecting some weird things pulled by the forum for this annual event, skimmed through my personal phone and this device upon waking up, saw the 50 merits by satoshi for a youtube video, and my still-sleepy brain can't process it; I poured my morning coffee while mulling over why did satoshi merited me for a YT video, which somehow not reflected on my real count.

I visited meta, where your thread was just couple line below theymos' april fools prank to see what he pulled this year, move on and read couple of replies to my posts, and only after that it dawned to me out of the blue what actually happened.

Good one, I chuckled when the realization hit me as I rushed back to meta to check this thread

btw i saw the message this morning on my telegram bot also and had to check the whole thing 2 times before i realized that it could only be an april fools joke

The HTML parser does not only behave this way in Telegram on Iphone or Android. This parser behaves exactly the same way in Telegram on a desktop computer and on a laptop. In other words, everywhere. This message appears the same on any version of Telegram. I don't know about anyone else, but it's the same for me on any device.

Yesterday in the bed before sleep I was thinking: I bet TryNinja will put Never Gonna Give You Up song on merit source thread URL and Voilà, here we go
Today, when I checked my smartphone, I received message that starts like this: (Merits: <b>1000</b>). I was like, what? What is this? Then NGGYU came up and I was like, whaaaat? This couldn't be supposed to run like this

But nevermind, thank you for this, we can fix this and/or even do something funnier next year, we have a lot of time, my pm was too little, too late.
