This whole flat Earth movement is simply a push by some religious types trying to bring people back to their faith. Instead of pushing the God and Jesus angle, they've changed tactics to use something they believe is visually confirmable; the world looks flat but they can't show you God or Jesus.
The irony of the whole movement is that while they preach "Research Flat Earth" the kind of people they attract are ones who are incapable of comprehending the "science" they use for their "proofs", but then their religion wants sheep and not free thinkers, so it's a win for them.
notbatman, nomad13666 and exemplaar are simply the new face of the bible thumping, trying to force their ideas upon everyone not of their faith, parroting the same ideologies over and over and attempting to scream down anyone who interjects with opinions not inline with theirs.
