If you are a compulsive gambler and want to stop I suggest banning yourself from your gambling accounts by opting out from using the site for a period of time or contacting a site's official who will do it for you. Also there are programs that once installed on your PC will monitor what kind of websites you are visiting and will automatically disconnect you upon loading a gambling site. And if you are in need of urgent help you can always call a help line.

Yes quitting gambling is not easier task like getting into gambling. I guess staying away from gambling should start from staying away from Internet and spending more time with other activities, meditation definitely would help.

You can banned yourself from gambling by letting someone chain you or imprison you I think that will help you do anything stupid like gambling or go to a rehab facility for addiction of some sort, because by just disallowing you from the site doesn't mean you free from gambling addiction and I think the site official won't do that because of just a request from someone who is addicted he will even let you play for free for just a couple of days! I think.

The best thing that you can do is just find some distraction, and that is the only thing that you have to do and it is really indeed hard to stop with gambling but you must have the discipline to stop with gambling.
If you dont have the discipline to stop gambling than it will be not possible because it gambling is really addicted and very hard to stop with it, so your distraction must be really good.

Find a hobby or sport or something, do things that you like to do outside and that will also be much better and cheaper than gambling.

yeah right, perhaps it is a good advice to those who are not yet drown in the world of gambling...just like "prevention is better than cure" thing...IMO, it would be easier to quit if you are addicted to gambling when there is someone beside you to watch over you,,, Just don't be hard headed if they are telling you, for sure you can stay away from gambling with that...Mostly the people around you are the key for you to stay away from your habit..

Or just keep yourself busy with your love ones. This will take away your mind off gambling and you are spending quality time with people you love and really care. It is like hitting two birds with one stone. Keep dong this and you will strengthen your bonds with them and you will eventually loose your interest with gambling.

Seek a job, and spend your time on it. Most addicted gamblers thinking that gambling is a source of money. So if they could get another source, surely it would distract him from gambling. If you dont have money, how can you make your beloved people be happy.
