Yes, if someone follow these activities that you have post in your comment they will not find any time to go to gambling and they will be creative and will find some other ways to earn money for their living and supporting their family.

That's the problem there, hanging out with friends are not exciting all the time, while hanging with them you also need to spend an amount just to enjoy, in the mind of the gamblers they are not getting any benefits from that. So they do things that while enjoying they also have a chance to gain money. That is reality but if anyone really wants to stay away from gambling you need to resist the temptation gambling brings to you.

But if he can block the gambling sites then he can again unblock them whenever he need it if he is addictive, the best solution is that he should not have to sit idle as idleness is the devil which make us to start any bad job.

+1. Our nature is to find another way if we are prohibited to do something we really do want to do. In this example, gambling. Even if you block the gambling websites that you used to play on, you will eventually unblock it especially if you get the urge to gamble. You were the one who blocked it, of course you can unblock it.

And even if you weren't the one who blocked it (i.e. you don't know how to block a site), it's either you will search for a new gambling site to bet on or you will search on Google how to unblock a website.


Get yourself really really busy so that you will not get the urge to gamble. If your mind is so busy doing other things and you don't have time to gamble, it will at least lessen the chance that you gamble even if you get the urge to. At the end of a long busy day, you will be too tired to gamble.

I suggest that you try to focus and be busy on things that doesn't include money like joining a group that does synchronize activities, do exercise, get more focused on your job/career, find a new hobby, and/or study something that you were always curious with.

My experience when stay away from gambling, when it was I really a lot to lose in bitcoin. then I never go back and I tried to find another activity that is more fun or a way to earn money is better. but then I go back but just for fun and do not play with the use of capital.

Find another hobby. Understand that winning in gambling is harder than loosing is. Understand that gambling could make you win as much as you want in minutes, and loose everything you have in a few seconds. It's bad, even though I'm addicted too. I have lost everything I had in my Bitcoin wallet, now I'm gambling just faucets which got me 0.1BTC profit back. Go out with your friends, play sports, just anything. Except GAMBLING.

Using the internet less nowadays is not possible as now everything is on internet even the businesses are also shifted to internet, the best solution is that he should have to start some other method to earn money and have to play some other free games to entertained.
