ETH can be used to freely buy or sell tokens on the Bancor Network. It has a connector with BNT, so if you want to sell a token for ETH you can. Say Pundi X for example (NPXS), you set your amount you want to sell, and then the token you want to receive (in this example ETH, but it can be any on the Network). Then you submit the transaction. What you end up with is selling the amount of NPXS and receiving a corresponding amount of ETH.

But behind the scenes what happens is your token is converted into BNT (NPXS>BNT), and then that BNT is converted into ETH (BNT>ETH).

As with any transaction on the ETH Network, any failed transaction still consumes the gas. However, your tokens are returned to you and are safe in your wallet. Bancor very often seems to change smart contracts, what's the best way to make 100% sure I' m dealing with the right Smart contract?

Tim Draper is very genius person who know the potential of tokenized system and how important these will be in future. I picked this token because of him as he invested very large amount into this project.

price on ico was pegged to eth(0,01eth per bancor) and now it is 0,0065 eth. if he would buy eth instead of bancor he would be richer, and this applies to all of us.

Hey, Kaizer. As a matter of fact, enhancing the liquidity of smaller cap tokens is in the primary focus of Bancor Protocol. Long Tail phenomenon leaves us in the situation, where only 10% of tokens make up for 95% of overall capitalization. So in simple terms, there are quite a lot of tokens, which don't have enough markets and market participants available. This is where Bancor comes into play. With the introduction of the Smart Tokens, the Bancor Protocol effectively disconnects liquidity from trade volume, which means you no longer have to rely on exchanges and order books to liquidate a token.

The best way to get the current contract addresses is by querying the registry contract: https://etherscan.io/address/0x7148b1c9154bcf273a2c7d7b90e3edc6fee395e6#readContract
This points directly to the contracts and is updated whenever a new version is released.
