The Big Bash League will resume today, after two days of Christmas break. Brisbane Heat and Sidney Sixers are at the top of the points table, with two wins each from as many matches. In today's match, Brisbane Heat will take on Perth Scorchers. Cooper Connolly of the Scorchers have performed exceptionally with the bat so far, while Jason Behrendorff and Lance Morris have been good with the ball. For Heat, batting will be heavily dependent on both Nathan McSweeney and Matt Renshaw.

Melbourne Stars lost their opening match this season. They could not score much there even though they have some good batsmen in their team. But Glenn Maxwell was not there that day as they lost to Perth. But the way they started batting today, there is a big chance that they will win today's match. Glenn Maxwell is batting with a strike rate of 200. If he can bat for a while longer, then they will have a big collection which will be difficult for Sydney Sixers to beat. With only 12 overs to go, the total number of runs is 132, which is definitely a sure thing that they will cross 200 in today's match and they will probably win today. But it is difficult to say when it will happen.
In today's match, Melbourne Stars scored 194 runs after playing 20 overs and losing 9 wickets, which is a perfect score for a T20 match. But despite scoring 194 runs, Melbourne Stars lost the match by 8 wickets against Sydney Sixers. I think that Melbourne Stars' bowling weakness in today's match led to their loss. Melbourne Stars' batsmen achieved a fairly reliable score in today's match, which woke the Melbourne Stars fans' confidence to win the match. But the unexpected bowling of the Melbourne Stars team in the second innings could not give anything but disappointment to the fans in the end.
