I agree with you that England Women team has not played well. They had problems in ODI series and these problems continued in T20 series. One of their biggest problems is batting. They have not been able to score enough runs and this has been problem many times. They had chance to win last ODI match but they lost. T20 match did not go well either. Team did very poorly, losing 10 wickets and scoring only 141 runs in 16 overs. They lost first match by a lot of runs, and this set tone for rest of the series. Hopefully team can work together and fix their batting problems so they can play better in the future.
England lost the three-match ODI series and also the first T20 match. All their losses are mostly due to their bad batting and lack of consistency. If they do not improve their play, then it is likely that they will lose the next two T20 matches, the 2nd one to be played in two days' time.
I heard this story where Sophie Ecclestone refused to give the interview and telling she was given cold shower. Giving excuses for her bad fitness doesn't make sense and this shows that the England players aren't positive with their attitude and this is another reason for their failure.
It is not reasonable to make any excuses after losing. England has lost 3 consecutive ODI matches and has also lost one T20 match, and the team has been under a lot of criticism. Everyone in the England women's team got their chances but no one could use them properly. Except for Sophia Dunkley in the last match, no one could do well.
England women's team also has hard hitters but they are not able to shine like that. Even if one or two do well, none of the rest can lift the match. I will not call Sophie Ecclestone's batting bad, if she could have survived, the team could have added some runs. But they could not do that. Since their batting is not good, their bowling should have been better, but they are not able to do well there, which is why they have not seen any victory in this series yet.
