I think it that hope that comes with gambling that make us addictive to it. That hope of being a potential winner, it could be in millions or billions. I know gambling is suppose to be for fun, but sometimes with money being involved we get emotionally affected, being it a lose or a win. So gambling is neither easy or hard, but that hope give it a different perspective and we then get addicted.

That why ur advice to gamble responsibly, that is we should always gamble with what we can afford to lose, so at the end we won’t be emotionally damaged when we lose.

I think its not all about how easy or even how to deal with those things, since if you look at both vices you have mentioned they are truly simple in first glance.
