I would say it all depends, and this is quite unfortunate but it's the truth; that as a gambler, a frequent gambler, money you saved and don't gamble with today, will eventually be spent on gambling tomorrow or any other day, doesn't have to be that actual money but money is money right?
It is better you spend that money on miscellaneous bills than to lose it to gambling. Sometimes you could feel like regretting whenever you lose money to bet that don't even worth your stress. Some of us can be fortunate to be making profits consistently and that does not mean that others are not having contrary results.
This is why it is generally believed that gamblers are all losers on the long term, and this does not matter how much you win, so long as you are still gambling, you are potentially a loser on the long term because the chances you will end up losing that entire money you won; plus much more is really high, but most times, the losing happens very slowly with several small wins in-between that we don't think it an issue at all.
People with their own believes and that will never make a change to how others see gambling. For the fact that people are losing money to betting does not mean that all other players are losing money. Because a gambler gambles recklessly and end up losing doesn't mean that all other gamblers do the same thing.
