Can he send you btc just by knowing your username? No mobile number needed to add you to contacts first? I know sending a message to someone not in your contact list costs you gems which is unsolicitate messaging, but sending btc/gemz you just need the persons username/hashtag?
right now to send someone btc/gemz you need to add his phone number to your contacts first.
In the future sending unsolicited messages (paid with gems) won't need a phone number and a Gems username will be enough.
UPDATE: okay. i just tried to send to my friend [even though i got 0 GEMZ. lol]. but i got the pop up box telling me to invite him to join. Would be nice to have an auto message [not necessarily a pop up box] telling my friend "You have been invited by XXX to download GEMS to receive some GEMZ. Go to *link*" and i would see something like "User is currently not using Gems. He/She has already been invited to download." just some feedback for future improvements.
We agree, our plan is to add this function in the near future.

is it the same account if the number/secret phrase is the same but the username starts with a capital letter?
Gems username is not case sensitive.
For example: peled1986 Peled1986 peLed1986 are all the same username with 1 secret phrase
