I’m sure it’ll be the Rockets that end up with Kevin Durant. They in fact already got him so that isn’t really a question at this point. When they expand on trades like this they do it for money reasons to save on salary caps and other teams toss in pieces to balance deals and budgets. They won’t be changing KD’s destination as the center of the trade.

They got Kevin Durant for sure but i dont know how good of a move that is if they dont get a few players for him. If they want to attack the title they need a lot more players to help him. He will stay there for sure its just a question what they can do even with him. They will surely be in the playoffs but i dont think they have the team to win it all

they need consistent player like KD who can score, the only reason why rockets unable to advance is because of their star player not performing well for we dont know the reason is, that is why he's been traded, KD can fill the gap in the scoring their defense is good, and lots of young players that can score, they also have a good rebounder, i think KD will blend-in instantly with houston.

Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns didn't even reach the playoffs. He even have Booker on-board.

Jalen Green, on the other hand, is building experience. Become the 2nd seed in the West and lead the Rockets at his young age. He will soon be improved. Aside from that, Jalen Green's value can give the Rockets a wide salary cap space if the team just fishes some good role players out there. Having Durant on the Rockets means nearly full max space.

I will bet that the Rockets will turn Brooklyn 2.0 and Suns 2.0 next season. Durant can't carry a team, especially at his post-prime. No hate.

Yeah, and it's all about chemistry though. Booker and KD didn't click, but maybe KD and the rest of the young core of the Rockets might, but we will never know until he plays with them. And also Green, maybe this could be a wake up call for him to really step up his game because everyone can be traded and no one is safe. Just like him being the Rockets go to guy, but he just regress if I may call that during the playoff. But I do agree with the concerns of KD, he is old, maybe he can score, but there is also the mindset that anytime he might get that career ending injury. Jaxson Hayes agreed to a 1 year contract extension with the Lakers, at least for now he will still be the backup center for them, as Ayton will be arriving and be the main guy in the middle.

But you missed the fact that even Durant does have an average of 26 PPG last season, his record is 33 wins - 29 losses.


Agree. Rockets have already closed the gap in their salary space because Durant is still a high value. They also gave up a Top 10 first-round pick. Brooklyn did the same but ended up with a worse result.

This could be a great duo if Green steps up and finds consistency. But if not, it might end up being the wrong move for the Suns, and Green could turn out to be far from the player everyone hoped he'd become. He was pretty much a non-factor in the playoffs, so picking him up is definitely a gamble for the Suns. Then again, everything in the league is a gamble. Let’s just hope both teams come out better from this deal.

Defense can be improve over time. Even Steph Curry, when he was still new in the league,  was already a great shooter, but his defense was pretty weak. Look at him now, he’s made solid improvements on that end.

So I believe it’s also possible for both players to improve, especially if the coach starts focusing on turning the team into a more defense-oriented unit.
Though to be honest, based on their record so far it’s not looking too good.

Dude averaged around 27 PPG which is still superstar-level kind of average at 36 years old also. Aside from that, he's a good defender as well. Despite of all of that, I also agree with what you said that the Rockets aren't a title contender still despite of making some upgrades. I mean just look at how stack the West right now. You have the defending champions - Thunder, also you will face the Nuggets as well that's also made some upgrades. Aside from that, you will see the Lakers being a playoff team still. I mean the West is stacked compared to the East which has 3 all-star players that will set possibly the whole 2025-2026 regular season because of Achilles Tear injury.

Anyway, the problem with that roster of the Suns is that, they aren't that good at defense. Yes, the trio are good on offense... or maybe disregard Beal on that talks because he's been a trash player last regular season. If you will ask me though, I would rather go on Durant rather than keeping Green just because of how inconsistent he is during the last playoffs. They expected him to be the closer in crucial games, but he didn't. Now they got that player already in Durant. If you want to be a title contender, having veteran player/s on your team would be beneficial.
