I think the easiest way to stay away from gambling is join a community hobby that really use much time, like fishing or something like that. It will makes your forget about gambling.

But you will still have spare time, in this spare time you will think about gambling again and again if you are addicted already. I'm sure it has beed said so many times that in order to stop from gambling should come from ourselves no matter we join other positive community or not.
They key is yourself, nothing else. Once you can manage your brain, heart and emotion then that's the time you will stop gambling.

Maybe you should try any hobby, or try any game like golf or etc

Yeah very very true first line. Sometimes parents or guardians think they can make someone study or make someone quit a addiction like gambling, smoking but those never work and even if work are for a short time. We need to educate person about the harms of gambling rather than forcing them to leave it because we want them to.

Yeah, I think hobbi, or other thing for the purposes that we do not do gambling is good enough. But I see that it gives only temporary effect while they will keep doing gambling, as where they do it. The most important thing in this issue is the support of the family, if the family know this and you ask for help from family life then I am sure you will be very special

That is going to help you to stay away from gambling if you have a very supportive family or friends. It is a fact that you can't stay away from gambling alone and if you don't have someone that is going to hep you then tendency is that you are going to keep on coming back with gambling and don't forget to have the will power to quit gambling for sure.

Different situations call for different approaches. There is no wrong or better method to have a person quit on gambling.

It all depends on the traits of the person, whether he realizes that he's addicted or not, whether he's willing to change or not. I've studied for 3 semesters about counseling and you just can't assume one proper approach to take because that's just not right.

Well your are lucky if ever that your family and friends would do that for you. I fell pitty to those who gets addicted which is being abandoned by their love ones before they realize that they are not in the good situation anymore

if our friends can also get addicted in gambling then we choose wrong friends to ask for advice or suggestion  so better we really find the right friends to stay with us, give a good advice to quit gambling, or offering us a job to stay away from gambling. yes we need new activities to get focus from what we want and to quit from gambling.

it is not help very much actually even you have a new activity ,
everything are up to you , up to your will ,
you can stay away from gambling even you have no job no activity ,
as long as you are stick to the main purpose to stay away from gambling.
