I feel like I’m just wasting my time and energy on this Christmas freeroll poker tournament here at stake.com and I’m even losing sleep over it because of its timeslot..
No matter how patient I am or how long I wait for a good hand, someone always ends up beating me. I’ve played more than 30 games since this freeroll started, but I’ve only won once and it was just the consolation prize. lol Never won ticket.

Has anyone here actually won ticket for the Christmas poker tournament? Did any of you get lucky? lol

Sleep is way more worth to me, then 1st prize of freeroll. I don't mind playing it when i am awake if it's on the other monitor and i am doing something else.

But it's far from poker i am used to. Maybe i am imagining it, but freerolls have way different feeling on them, because people don't have anything at stake.
Ideally i would like to move back playing irl tournaments at some point when i have free time. At least i will be sober this time so i might have better handle on it.

Man, it's just a lottery. It's so hard to even get in the money with this structure. Basically after like 20 or so minutes it's push or fold if you still have around your starting stack. That's why it's essential to basically play "crazy" just as most other guys in the beginning. Without building a stack early you are allin every other hand after a while, basically playing bingo.
I wouldn't lose sleep over this. I mean I can't register anyway for the before mentioned problems, but also those tournaments start at 3am, which is ridiculous.

@xLays, just try to implement 'less is more' strategy. Instead of playing every freeroll, just play two, $20k and $8k. Both freeroll are 2 hrs apart so you can even play both at the same time. This will give you more edge.
I am myself playing only three (added the $3k one as well) and so far although I have not secured the ticket but I have managed to win around $50. I know it is not much but at least something to keep me in the grind.
Running deep in a poker tournament requires energy and focus, playing too many low value tournaments will hamper your performance in the big ones for sure.
@AHOYBRAUSE, I know you might have contacted the customer care and get the usual response (not very helpful in resolving the issue) but try to register in the tournament after 5k players already registered (at the last moment), it might help. I know I suggested you to try registering early but from the latest post of yours, it is clear that it did not work so please try this suggestion also (I know it sounds absurd but give it a try  I am telling you from my personal experience).

Totally feel your frustration with those freeroll schedules they really do mess with your sleep for what often feels like no reward. I actually only managed to play two of them before my account got restricted from joining any more, even though I hadn’t won a single cent. Kind of a weird letdown, honestly.
After that, I just stopped bothering with them altogether. It’s not worth losing sleep or stressing over if the system itself feels stacked or unpredictable.

So, with a bit of luck, you can win a ticket without even making it to the final table.

Oh yeah you're right I just realized. But honestly i'm a bit confused when there are tournaments with a small prize I can join easily even when the tournament is already running I can still join but when the tournament prize is bigger with 7000 seats I can't join even before the tournament started all the seats full, is it possible that most of them are bots? I'm not saying the bots is provided by Stake but I'm guessing from a group.

Freeroll tournaments with large prize pools always attract more users than tournaments with small prize pools. At the very least, this is because tournaments with large prize pools have more prize places, making it easier for individual players to win something. So it's no surprise that seats in such tournaments are quickly taken, literally within minutes of registration opening.
Personally, I don't think Stake has an influx of bots, as a similar surge in activity occurs in other poker rooms during similar events. The only thing Stake needs to do is improve its servers. It's evident that they were not prepared or didn't expect such a large influx of users in such a short period of time (literally seconds and minutes after registration opened), which leads to some users being unable to load the page or encountering errors.
