Kolkata lost by 44 runs. I wouldn't say their batsmen played badly. The performance of the batsmen was good enough. But I am completely disappointed with the performance of the bowlers. Especially in the last 2 overs, Delhi scored 39 runs. If the target was 190-95 then Kolkata would have a chance to win. It is very difficult to win by batting against 216 runs. When the target is so big, the confidence of the players decreases.
All the credit goes to Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur and we can say that if the total was below 200 then Kolkata Knight Riders could have had a chance, it was a good batting pitch and Lord Thakur just surprised me with the way he was able to clear the boundary with ease. Openers gave a good start and everyone contributed for them to reach 215 runs.
Not sure why they are still playing with Ajinkya Rahane, it is time for him to rest and replace with someone else.
