But then, then the Lahore bowlers proved to be too hot to handle (Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Zaman Khan and Rashid Khan).
Lahore Qalanders has the best bowling side due to which I can see they are the favorites to win this year's title.
I don't have much knowledge about Indian team family backgrounds so I can't comment on them but in the Pakistan team, yes there is a lot of nepotism. Remember the Akmal brothers (Umar Akmal and Kamran Akmal), both remained in the team together for a long time even one of them does not have good performance, the other brother ensures/pressurzies that he plays in the team.
Umar Akmal and Kamran Akmal are brother who play cricket but where does the nepotism comes in if they do not have anyone in the management that are fast tracking them in the team. Unless there is no one helping them stay in the team you can accuse them of nepotism.
Kamran Akmal was the best keeper batsman available for Pakistan during that time and Umar Akmal was a decent batsman. I would not say that kamran Akmal was the best keeper but he was the only keeper we had in those times. Many times, Umar Akmal was out of form and selection committee wanted to replace him but then the only keeper Kamran Akmal insists that if umar akmal is out of team, he would also not play. This left no choice for the board to keep the both players in the team.
