When he is in the Brooklyn, he is the starting Center of the team and he averaged 12.8 pts in his few games there. Not bad already knowing that he is almost past prime.

With what you said though, I agree that he isn't that effective right now and they need to get a younger center. Nets have DeAndre Jordan still but the problem is his speed. Well, they traded Jeff Green to have some salary space so they might get at least one reliable big this off-season. The only question is who will fit to the team. A quick search in google into which Centers are free as of this moment and there are many but not that popular. Maybe they can get Cousins since he doesn't have any contract as of this moment (IIRC).

Net's won't be able to acquire more players anymore due to their low salary Cap.

Durant, Irving and Harden all belong in the top 10 superstars in the NBA, hence, they are paid with big money, and Nets now are facing the results of being greedy and too desperate to win a championship, they need to face the next season with the current line up or some minor additions through trade.

We understand his passion for the sport, but if his body has already given up, he should not force it. Chris Bosh also ended his basketball career early and he has to accept it because of his condition, he was operated on at first, came back to sports, and later get operated again and has not come back anymore.

So if LA will play, he might face his problem again and we don't know if it will be worst next time.

Thing is, his body is not getting any younger, so the healing time will take time.

He will be out with the Lakers, he was only there to prove his value and I think he will be able to land a good team. I'm not sure what teams really need a good point guard, but as of today's standard, PG is now bigger while Schroder is short, so a team would only give him a max contract if they sees him like CP3 and Trae Young.

And there's a rumor, maybe he would fit with the Knicks.

If they like a healthy and talented Point guard, they should go with Dennis Schroder. Though I can't say that he is a superstar but I'm sure  Dennis Schroder is an underrated player. His numbers are consistent and he can provide offense for the team if needed.

With regards to the contract, not sure he will get bigger than what the Lakers had offered him.

Staying at LA is no longer good for his career, with LeBron and Westbrook in front the rotations for him might be harder, he won't gets good minutes with healthy King James and WestBrook, Better to find another team since he already decline the extension of his contract.


Might better to think deeper for the knicks they need big players and role players not a star quality individual, Kemba and Drose plus Barrett and Fournier good enough for the frontline.

They need back up for Randle Big Man who can create and deliver inside, it will give more space for their shooters if they've got options inside.

The teams starting five is looking good I agree with that but let's be honest with each other, even with just one injury, one not being 100% and they are still a bit of a lack in depth type of team. For example as a point guard they have westbrook as a beastly great player, but what about after that? Are you really betting your team on Kendrick Nunn? At shooting guard who are they going to play? Melo? At that age? No way, then who? THT? Malik Monk? Is that really a championship caliber player level we would love to see in our team? Lebron is a beast at SF, then who? Ariza? They got Howard and Gasol as bigs, that is the center position for 48 minutes? Surely AD will go there for plenty of minutes.

Basically they do have the best top 5, but after that it is a steep drop for them and they will not be happy even if just one player gets injured and most of them are injury prone as well.
