What's up with the LA Lakers?
They brought back Howard, and now they're bringing back Rajon Rondo. Might as well, bring back McGee. This is going to be the championship reunion roster with extra twist to make it a solid line up.
I guess they have better chemistry with Rondo and Howard in the line up.
We can't trust Westbrook or Melo or the other new guys to blend in immediately with the Lakers system. So, I guess the Lakers management are looking to ease the possible scenario by bringing back these 2 guys.
It's news to me that the Lakers are getting back Rajon Rondo. I don't think that he will play heavy minutes because Westbrook will be the guy to do much of the handling chores, we may like it or not. Melo, Howard, and all the other veterans will just be there giving support because come playoffs, their experience is very much needed. Wonder what's the average age of this current Lakers roster, 36?

Last time I checked it's above 32.x something, and being the oldest in the NBA so far.
Rondo also provided a lot during the playoffs when he was in the Clippers. But during the second and in their last playoff series against the Suns, he was used sparingly. And maybe that's one reason why he wanted out of the Clippers and missed the Lakers.
He could be coming from the bench as well and not a starting five for the guard position because Westbrook is the first option. But the depth though of the Lakers, even if they rest some of their starting five, the next group could pass as starting five for the other teams already.
