it's not a loss for Dennis Schröder, let us not judge him and let's believe that it's not the money that's why he didn't sign with the Lakers. Dennis Schröder has one year to prove that he is in the level of the superstar in the NBA, so if he will have a successful next season, who knows he will get at least $100 million contact with the Celtics and he will also be happy where he belongs now.

I think this odd for Bucks is somewhat fair in my opinion, there's no team change meaning that they can probably make it again plus their having a hard time too because of the swaps and trades happening, we don't know if there is a new synergy that will destroy the defending champion.

Bucks already lost on of it's toughest defenders in PJ Tucker, but they got Greyson Allen, who I think is also a good defender, but not in the caliber of Tucker.

Maybe that's what really on Dennis mind, he is still very young and we can say that he can still improved, or be a candidate for Most Improved if he really shows what he can really do with the Celtics team. Maybe playoff appearance first and then go for the second round with a healthy Jaylen Rose. So let's see if the gamble will pay back or not for Dennis next season. For sure, many will raise their eye brows and this NBA analyst will have a field day on him. So he better proved all his detractors wrong.

I read a post that his family and agent was urging him to take the $84 million deal offered by Lakers so that's probably all on him. He's lucky he still gets to play for 5 million after all that happened.

At least he's wise enough to make it a one-year only deal but I don't know if he will have enough playing time to prove his worth for the next free agency. He'll be overshadowed by Marcus Smart.

I never really liked Dennis to begin with, not just the talent level but basically his character, ever since he was on Hawks things were really so nice for him from what I hear, his teammates rarely ever like him and he was sent from one place to another after that.

Lakers overoffered him anyway, they needed a PG and this was before Westbrook, I am sure when Dennis realized that he can't get anything better, he went back to Lakers and asked for it, even a bit less maybe, but by that time Lakers had Westbrook and that is why they declined. Hell dude couldn't find even 10 million a year, at this day and age a player like him would definitely get 10 million, even 15+ million, only if he was an easy player to work with. However everyone around the league knows that he is a hard person to handle and causes controversy and locker room trouble so his talents do not matter.

Yeah, it looks like it was only his greed. However, I don't exclude that Schroder doesn't want to be a bench player, and Westbrook signing could have influenced his decision. Anyway, he still might be able to prove to everyone that he deserves a big salary, although I don't expect that he will be playing like a superstar next season.

The Lakers might not offer that amount again, but definitely, there are other teams who will be interested depending on how he will play next season. All eyes on him as he is one of the most talked players now, after refusing a big deal, he ended up with a small contract with the Celtics. The only hindrance that he will not be sign after his 1 year contract if he will get injured, so aside from improving his game, he also need to ensure that he is fully healthy.

There were even reports that he wants $120 million, that's why he turned down the $80 million offered by the Lakers.

Schroder is effective in my opinion, but he seems to lack something that will really make him a good point guard in the league. Oh it's consistency, that's one drawback of his, at least when he was in the Lakers uniform. When he was in the OKC, he was producing good numbers close to 20 ppg and good three point and field goal percentage. But it deteriorated when he was with the Lakers. And now that he is playing as only the third option, not sure how can he be effective and show his talent in Boston.

There might not be a next time for Dennis Schroder.

I think by now everything has settles down on him, he readily accepted the Celtics offer and blow a once in a lifetime windfall from the Lakers. And there are a lot of memes going around and having a field day roasting him specially from Lakers fan, Lol.
