This is wrong! The emergency fund is built to protect your bitcoin investment and not the reserve fund, that is why it is seen as the most important backup fund which has one specific purpose of acting as the last line of defense preventing you from tapping into your portfolio for survival or to solve unforeseen financial challenges. It is important to build your emergency fund alongside your accumulating bitcoin until it is at least 3 months worth of your expenses budget.

While you DCA into your bitcoin portfolio, you also put money into building your emergency fund and in that way, you're adequately preparing funds to tackle any emergency, while your bitcoin portfolio remains protected.
The reserve funds can also be used to take care of real life emergency before tapping from your emergency funds if your reserve funds isn't enough to tackle the problem. Reserve funds is very flexible and can be used for different purposes which are buying during the dip, use to solve a real life emergency before touching your emergency funds, you can also use it to go and eat in an expensive restaurant and your reserve funds can also be used to buy a bicycle for your child on his birthday if you are short of funds.
You've made some real sense actually, but it shouldn't be a reason reserve funds would be prioritized against emergency funds while investing in Bitcoin. The person I was referring to presented it in the form of invalidating the emergency fund while stating explicitly that the reserve fund is used to protect his portfolio. That was what I was debunking, so that newbies don't read that and think it's outrightly correct. The reserve funds is very flexible and can stand in for whatever the situation calls for, whether emergency, needs or even to consume.
