150 is difficult but not impossible just because Jadeja is left to bat but still it's not enough to have 157 runs to chase down as the bowlers won't be able to restrict them it being their home land. It's still satisfying to see bowlers pick up NZ's wickets and not let them reach 300 from where we would see the end of the match today itself.

Just thinking if we had Dhoni, even 200 runs could be expected but...

Anyone following the ongoing ICC Women's T20 World Cup? India have won all of their group matches (4 out of 4), which is a great achievement for them (given the low profile of the women's team in India). In Group B, South Africa has won 3 out of 3, with one match against West Indies remaining. If South Africa wins that match, then India's opponents in Semi finals will be England.

I agree that it's low scoring as well as interesting but I think in the second innings we will see Kane Williamson and Taylor performing well . Tomorrow's morning session will be crucial for both teams.


I think they have got themselves a great chance to win the tournament but it will be a very very tough fight . Hope they win though .

For India to win with them loosing 6 wickets already and with a small lead of under hundred runs it will be a huge task for the rest of the batsman to score big from this situation to pose a challenging target for New Zealand, i am expecting the New Zealand fast bowlers to pick the rest of the wickets within the first hour and win the match easily as there is plenty of time for New Zealand to win the match even if India is somehow able to score a lead of over 200 runs.

Innings 1

Although innings 1 was low scoring it was entertaining as both teams scored almost equal runs . At the end of day 1 , it looked like it was a one sided match but Indian bowlers did well to get the team back into the match .

Innings 2

Nothing went wrong for the New Zealand  in the 2nd innings , the bowlers especially Boult was brilliant . They had no problems with chasing the small total too. Many predicted that if India posted 150+ then it might be a close match but I think NZ would have chased even 200 comfortably.


Player of the series - Southee , deservedly so .

Player of the match - Jamieson , because he took 5 wickets in first innings and also score well with the bat.

Overall it wasn't that interesting , NZ looked more comfortable than India throughout .

Group stage is over in the Group A in ICC Women's T20 World Cup, while two matches remain in Group B. India and Australia have qualified from Group A, while England and South Africa have qualified from Group B. Some confusion still remain about the semi-final matches. If South Africa win the last match, then their opponents will be Australia. If that doesn't happen, then they will face India in the semis.

The Thailand women had a memorable match today, but they were really unfortunate. Batting first against Pakistan, they made 150/3, with the first wicket stand between Nattakan Chantam and Nattaya Boochatham putting in 93 runs. Given the fragile nature of Pakistani team, I am sure that Thailand would win the match. But unfortunately, it rained and the match got washed away. Feels bad for Thailand.

NZ team is in good form after consecutive wins against India. South Africans have outplayed Australian team in the ODI series. They have proven their might in balling and Sewell as in batting. Hard times ahead for Australia.

The final is going to be exciting. The Indian team looks the most balanced with the performance in the tournament and they have already won over Australia once.
But with current weather conditions, a D/L setting can come in favor of any team on any period of time. The chasing team would have a better chance of getting easier target so it would also depend on the toss.
