That has been the speculation of many fans that seeing Ja becoming the worst player, it's better for him to be traded by the management. It could go worst if they didn't let him go. They should rather take that big risk than the team not making the playoff again.
Same decision of the Mavs owner, fire Nico as he is not detrimental for the fans. Yes, he is still very young and could still be hitting the prime year of his career. He might just needed a new team to bring that motivation from the young guy.
To be fair, Ja Morant has been a headache no matter how "great" he is as a player, and because of that I would understand the management to want to trade him.
However, we are talking about a lot better situation here with the factual situation, he won't be traded for nothing, Memphis may want someone else but that doesn't mean that they will accept just any offer, dude maybe a headache but he is a good enough player to deserve something. That doesn't mean we are going to be getting rid of him type of deal.
So will any team offer something good for Ja? Not entirely sure, after all nobody would want a locker room trouble and Ja Morant has created enough trouble to make his value go under his playing ability.
