The way Wemby is playing could be amazing, but he is moving away from MVP discussions a bit.
He is averaging 27 points per game give or take, 14 rebounds and nearly 5 blocks. I think that is still a huge deal and I do not think we have seen anyone like that before.
We are talking about 4.7 block averages per game, that makes no sense at all, even at his height, if he wasn't as quick and agile as he is, he wouldn't really have anything that would benefit this situation.
I think it's quite clear that 14 rebounds per game is also another huge milestone, we haven't seen that with anyone who averages 26.7 points per game in a long time. This dude is unique and the word "unicorn" to describe him is a very true thing, it's definitely a great way to move forward for Spurs.
2 consecutive games without a double-double, even though he played 30+ minutes in each game.
I think this is what they call the off nights, or maybe the Suns and the Lakers may have found something to somehow stop the big guy. It's a tough job whoever will be in front of him. The wingspan is already a big problem, and then sometimes he shoots the ball.
At each game, he shoots 14 times. I think he needs more volume below the rim and not the three-point shots. Duncan could really help teach this young man how to use the bank.
Jokic, on the other hand, ain't stopping. If he has fewer rebounds, his assists are high, or it will be another triple-double. Dude is a monster.
