Recently, eXch was targeted, today it is Thorchain, tomorrow someone else. Free trade options are being severely curtailed.
One more thing is noticeable, it is no longer enough just to come to an exchange and do a swap. More analysis is needed, such as feedback, real reviews, whether it uses its own liquidity funds, whether it uses Thorchain, and whether there are sanctions on addresses. It seems to me that it is too complicated for ordinary trade, especially for beginners
This presents a dilemma for exchange businesses. On the one hand, they want to maintain the advantages of DEXs, which are truly censorship-free, while on the other, they don't want to become part of a criminal operation.
At the very least, users have two safe options to avoid being triggered by AML inspectors:
1. Don't use a decentralized platform.
2. Or, conversely, although other obstacles may arise, especially if direct crypto use is somewhat restricted in their country, or there are no sufficiently liquid fiat exchanges other than CEXs.
