Too bad, but they have no choice but to let him rest since its a serious health concern. Im not sure how long his recovery will take, but hes already been ruled out for the rest of the season.
At first, I didnt think it was that serious, especially since its not a head or heart issue like what happened to Bosh and Aldridge. But it turns out, its still a major concern.
I think fans will understand, Wemby has already shown hes not a soft player, and the Spurs have only become more exciting as he continues to develop. For now, he just needs to focus on the surgery, get the rest he needs, and come back when hes fully ready.
They need to pay attention with his health first since that injury is so serious and that might end up his career if they will not act fast on his situation.
This is same awful situation happen to Chris Bosh that's why its good that Spurs act fast before its to late for them to save Wemby's career. But let's see the upcoming updates and if there's good development of his case. They have similar situation with Ausar Thompson but the young man is improving and doing well.
For sure fans would understand since this is serious situation that need immediate attention.
Spurs officials said they are expecting it to be a bit of a "one time deal" type of injury, not like something that will constantly happen, for three months he will be on blood thinners, and will be looked at until the next season, without working him too much meanwhile, and they are hoping that it won't repeat. This isn't at lungs or any other important place, it's at shoulder, but if they are not careful, it could definitely be career ending if it happens anywhere else.
This is why this is such a big deal, dude is young and has a huge career ahead of him. There are two cases everyone talks about, Ingram and Bosh had them, Bosh had it multiple times and at important places so he had to retire early, whereas Ingram had it unimportant place and not again so he continues.
