Yes, it's obvious that Klay had made one of the worst decision of not accepting what the Dubs might have offered to him, although we understand that it could be less than he is expecting. And so he goes with the Mavs, something to proved and even thinking of winning another ring as he could have made it to 5, one more than the Curry and Draymond. So he decided that it will be better with Dallas since they have Luka and Kyrie. And now both are out already, Luka being traded, Kyrie injured. And I read that Mark Cuban interview and he said that the Nico could have gotten a better deal, not AD + Christie as for him this is not enough for a talent like Luka. And we all know that if he had his way, he wouldn't let go of Luka. But he is now just a minority as he sold his stakes already. Oh well, just imagine if the Lakers are going to win, or even the Warriors with Butler. It might really hurt the Mavs and Klay as well.
Its not even about Klay Thompson not staying at the Warriors or accepting the deal offered to him, Klay imo is rather still living in denial that hes no longer who he used to be and as such accept a reduced role, so jumping on the Mavericks bus was an easy decision for him. Even if he stayed with the Warriors, it would not have changed much for him, he was already being benched by Kuminga at some point. Klay strength have always been on the offensive end to compliment Steph, but Klays offense have taken a huge hit, and hes weak link and burden defensively.
Now he's complaining about his role as the primary scorer because it's clear he isn't capable of it. That ACL injury ended the Warriors dynasty and Klay's career as an all star.
Lol, but he chooses to go out and move to Dallas, now he is complaining about his role? If there will some good outcome, he should be motivated and proved that he can still score. Unfortunately, that injury ended Klay's prime years and he should just stay with the Warriors. In any case, Dallas is now on the 10th spot and has been losing 4 in a row. Very hard to see them in the playoff, while all of the top teams in the West has somewhat on the winning streak.
Thunder at 6, Lakers at 8, Nuggets at 2, Warriors at 3, and then T'Wolves at 4. So the West are still in a very close competition, and only Thunder are assured in the playoff as the top seed, same with the Cavs.
Great game to watch, Pistons at Warriors, and Lakers at Celtics.
