Bronny James just led the Los Angeles Lakers in scoring during a real professional NBA game. A pretty amazing accomplishment even if the top 6 go to options were out with injury. He did it on an efficient 7-10 shooting as well. Hes definitely coming along. He looked like he could be the #8 guy on the squad tonight.
Well, he lead the whole team filled with role players with 17 points, but the problem is, he's-36 which is the 2nd lowest only to Shake Milton who got -37. Overall, this might be a good night for him in terms of points and efficiency, but having that kind of plus-minus shows how low of an impact he is when on the court. He scored a new NBA career high, but his team lost big time.

If only the Lakers are the top seeded team, I expect that Bronny will be given more playing time... or I should say more garbage time.
I looked at the standings on the West, and asked myself if the Lakers can afford to lose one game especially how tight the standings are in their conference. They're 1.5 games below the 2nd seeded Houston Rockets, and 2.5 games above the 6th seeded Warriors so I would say that this is just a game that can afford to lose anyway, and this is a good time to put their star players to rest as well in preparation for the playoffs.
NBA season is a long season. I dont see anything wrong with resting guys periodically. You dont need them wore put come playoffs time. I get it if you are going to the game it sucks because you pay to see those guys play but in the long run dudes as big as jokic benefit with some extended reat.
Well in general, players should have a rest still, but only if you can afford to rest your key players. Now if you're on a situation where you can't afford to lose even just one game then I don't see any reason why you should rest your players in preparation for the playoffs. Most of these are those play-in teams where they can't afford to rest their star player/s. The Thunder are the ones that can afford to do it because they're above by many games on the 2nd seeded Rockets. As for Jokic and the Nuggets, they're on the safe spot so one game for them to rest isn't a big deal at all.
