OKC having only one loss proves that they do have that possibility of going 73-9, not impossible at all. But I would like to remind you that the record is a record not because of the early games, but because of the later games. When you are on game 78, your players will be super tired of constantly winning, it would be very hard to keep that focus on and the players will be tired beyond measure.
This is why I think it's quite possible for everyone to have some sort of issue with it, and do not think that will be possible for anyone to have that kind of result. It's hard to have some great return with time, the better result would be just letting it be and can get a better result with time. I highly doubt OKC will break that record, but the best part for them is that they do not have to, they can just win the title back to back and that would be great enough for them.
Theyre obviously not a veteran team like Lakers, GSW or Celtics. But still if they keep playing like this, they could shake up the whole league. No experience needed
Especially Shai at his age, hes already a legend.Shai a legend? What did he achieved already for him to be called a legend? Did he scored 40K points like Lebron did? Did he won 6 titles and undefeated in Finals like Jordan did? Yes, he's already an all-star player, but in order to become a legend, you need to do something that no player has ever done, and for SGA, he's still WAY, WAY far from becoming one.
Anyway with how the Thunder are playing right now, they're on their way to win 75 games, but I don't think that it's their main priority right now. Let's not forget that the 73-win Warriors didn't won a title in that season, so there's a chance that the Thunder might experience the same as well. If they will focus on breaking that record, there's a chance that they might feel exhausted coming to the playoffs, and instead of having fresh legs, they might get tired way easier because they played throughout the regular season even though they don't need to anymore.
Overall, the Thunder are on their way to become a back-to-back champion. I just hope that injuries will not hinder it at all.
