I thought they were going to choke with all those misses. They had like 10 consecutive missed shots. Also, McDaniels and Reid were silent tonight, combining for only 17 points. Also, four Wolves players were in foul trouble.
As for the Lakers, James and Doncic both had double-doubles, but both teams sucked from the three-point line. LOL. What the hell is wrong with them? They kept throwing up 3s even though it was clear they were having a hard time making them. And I agree, the game was a bit boring tonight.
Lakers defense is good now and worst in G1, Their shooting is better also. The chemistry is there and most play goes well. big difference on their G1.
For the Wolves this Game 2, Their 3 point shooting is far from before and their defense, The Lakers had a big adjustment to this, I think they are the one who is having trouble tonight.
Props to Ant, Even they lose to LA, he perform well.
If we will also look at how the Lakers played, for most of the game, they're playing small ball with DFS as their 6th guy. Hayes played only 9 minutes more or less, but Finney-Smith played around 30 minutes. The small ball of the Lakers works especially if they have 3 guys that might be smaller, but their body is way bigger than most as well. Well, it's a must for the Lakers to win on their home after that disappointing Game 1 loss a few days ago.
Doncic led his team with an almost triple-double performance as well. James and Reaves combined for 37 points on this low-scoring game. On the other hand, as expected, ANT and Randle carried their team with a combined 52 points, but aside from that, no other players scored in double-digits already. Now the Wolves need to defend their home court after stealing one on the road.
Speaking of stealing one on the road, we've seen many away teams winning on their opponent's home court in the first 2 games.
Clippers winning in Game 2, Warriors winning in Game 1, Wolves in Game 1, Pistons winning in Game 2.
I guess it's safe to say now that homecourt advantage is slowly decreasing already because despite having a homecourt advantage, away teams can still get a win. Correct me, but I haven't seen this much away wins in the first 2 games of the playoffs. 4 might be low, but it's higher than last season, or 2 seasons ago.
