yeah. altcoin is all giving use more and more profits, and more and more chances to do work and earn bitcoin. if there would not be altcoins bitcoin would also be useful but not that much as it is now. and also the price won't be that high.

I just wanted to get your opinions on this one , what do you think Bitcoin would be if there was no Alternative coins such Litecoin & Dogecoin and the others ...
I mean it would be better with or without them Bitcoin would have no value at all ?

it looks like when bitcoin without altcoin it will die because there is no comparison in its exchange, unlike the case when bitcoin bitcoin supported many coins it will be more alive

specially those altcoins which done very successful ICO's. they will surely attract lots of people and effect the bitcfoin price a lot.
I think things are already working on their ways.

I do agree that altcoin have important role on attracting people to cryptocurrency but it do bad and at the same time good in Bitcoin economy.  Good because they attract people, bad because most of this ICO are scam so it gives bad reputation to cryptocurrency industry including Bitcoin.  Worst is that these altcoin often declare they are better than bitcoin and at the end scam these unsuspecting people.  Result they also think Bitcoin is also a scam project lol. 

altcoin exchanges services, and altcoin trading are playing huge rules for bitcoin. if they wouldn't here I don't know what would be the rate of bitcoin, the demand of bitcoin and the usage of bitcoin. it may be same as today an uselss altcoin is.

[1] How bad could the reputation of bitcoin be? It's already ruined since from the start. It would be wrong if we pretend as if all those illegal activities aren't happening. But at the same time, it's happening on fiat currency. Nothing to be ashamed of, honestly. All currencies are being used in shady activities.

[2] To some degrees, altcoins are actually better than bitcoins. Transaction time, Price, Date of Launch. Although those doesn't matter, it's still an advantage of altcoins. Transaction time has always been a problem of the majority, and we have SegWit on the way to solve that. Unfortunately, we're still not so sure about it. Using an altcoin can resolve our issues with bitcoin transaction time.

Price of altcoin is more volatile and cheaper. Thus, we can trade it and make bitcoins from it. The date of launch of altcoins are later than bitcoins. You have more chance of having your money increase if you invest in an altcoin than in bitcoins. (But we also have good times with bitcoin when the price increases like crazy. We rarely see that on altcoins nowadays.)

All the hopes and wishes people had about bitcoin, all the missed opportunities regarding bitcoin they all manifested as alternative coins. however I hate it when people launch a new coin and they start to pool mining it in the first day, because bitcoin wasn't pool mined for years.
Alts opened the door for scammers but still there are a few that worth to hold like doge and ltc.

i think alt coin help attracting many people into cryptocurrency world and that's a free advertisement for bitcoin. There's so many altcoin without a goal and created solely for the profit, and some of them even designed for a scam attempt which damaged cryptocurrency reputation. Bitcoin can survive without altcoin, but we never know how far bitcoin can reach without the help of altcoin.
