    True. Just doing some speculations gives you some satoshis if you buy even just hundreds of it. What if it will be bought with millions a little movement affects it all and that will be a large profit.

    I think that if there is no alt coins then the exchanges will have less profit.
    Bitcoin will rise too much (much more that it is now) and early investors will be happy

    Bitcoin was created before any of the altcoins that we know today. so any altcoin exists because of bitcoin and copying that idea. but also they are an alternative way of investment which only affect bitcoin amount that we all have.
    Bitcoin itself is going to be more worth and that is really nice of course but nobody will ever know what will happen later in the future and that is hard.
    But you can even see now that Bitcoin is becoming more worth so that is really nice.

    I think the headline of OP is not correct or it should be that Altcoin without Bitcoin, as Bitcoin is the first digital currency and all altcoin are based and valued on Bitcoin value or converted in bitcoin, So it is that bitcoin is the main source of Altcoin value.

    I agree with the headline. Without altcoin, I will have no bitcoin as I got the bitcoin mostly by mining and selling altcoin.

    I agree with the headline. Without altcoin, I will have no bitcoin as I got the bitcoin mostly by mining and selling altcoin.

    I do not think so, most people first know about bitcoin, and not altcoins. so you can definitely get a bitcoin, without altcoins. even i see you join the signature campaign. so you can get bitcoin without altcoins and you still can have bitcoin.

    Most of the altcoins are secondary compared to bitcoin. I consider none of them a real treat to bitcoin. Not by a long shot anyway. So without altcoins bitcoin would have probably done the same.

    there is never a "threat" for bitcoin even if there is or will be a good altcoin out there that can compete with bitcoin, it will only be a competition at best.

    I honestly don't see any reason why bitcoin can ever be threatened or be replaced, because even if a new altcoin is created with fantastic features that can become better than bitcoin it will only be an alternative way of using crypto currencies and will be used alongside with bitcoin.

    I would actually prefer bitcoin without altcoin, rather than bitcoin with lots of shitty altcoins. The altcoins are flooding the markets right now and if you look at the alternative cryptocurrencies board, it's flooded with no announcements.

    Most of them are pump and dump schemes, which obviously bad for the newbie.

    I think it is good for it defines how bitcoin is better than any coin. Just my opinion though. I see a huge amount before they reach a good amount like bitcoin so they are just definers whatever happen.

    I think that will affect bitcoins price since altcoins like ltc and eth has been together with bitcoin.Those coins i think is interconnected to each other.But bitcoins price will not be worthless if there is no alt coins on market bitcoin cand stand by itself now.Bitcoins is still on the top of all crypto currency online now.And yet ofcourse it will affect bitcoin market if alt coin will be gone but not tht much effect

    Some people use bitcoin to buy altcoin as there not many altcon/fiat markets. So people have to buy bitcoin first, they increase the price.
