Nope, Bitcoin can't be better. Even if there are other altcoins out there Bitcoin cannot do anything to improve, like increasing the 21,000,000 limit of Bitcoin that can be produce. Also it is a clear picture that Bitcoin already has a lot of competitor trying to dethrone Bitcoin as the # 1 cryptocurrency in the market but none even Ethereum can go close to the price of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin without Altcoin same like USD currency without any other currencies. We never know bitcoin performance because only one and not have competitors.

But why not just compare Bitcoin to other assets like gold or even currencies like USD? We don't really need Altcoins to be able to measure performance.

Alt coins are also playing good in the market and economy of bitcoin. Because without them no one will ever make some investments for bitcoin. This is a good way that people will put their money in bitcoin and eventually encourage a lot of investors for making these alt coins bought by them. Just like in reality, it cannot be dollars for all countries, local currencies(alt coins) are needed too.

I think you know when the first bitcoin life and after that there is still no other than bitcoin coin, but bitocin can develop and then came another coin like litecoin, I think bitcoin can stand alone

Found the altcoin at the time of me joining bitcoin was a cheaper way to learn how trade at first and that helped me out.
But then I got into the whole pump and dump issue of altcoins and it made me feel like there was a lot of snakes in the grass that are out to exploit every last nickle.
The fun coins are interesting with different innovations,just not a fan of pumping something to either run off or to leave people in the lurch.

Bitcoin would be fine without it but I think some good can still come out of altcoins.

Bitcoin is the origin and the core so I think it will be very fine without altcoin since it is the main, Altcoins in the other way won't actually exist without bitcoin since it is the main and gets the media coverage.

If altcoin is helping bitcoin to reach high then why altcoin is not on number 1, and then why bitcoin is No.1. So if we look and the adoption and demand of people towards crypto currency then it is more inclined to bitcoin. Bitcoin itself is enough to gain its success.

Why the price will drop if will be more people buying bitcoin?

Some coins are just an copy and have nothing different to offer but we can see good projects on blockchain, that's no doubt.

I think so, altcoin like competitors of bitcoin. if altcoin is erased I think the price of bitcoin will go down. in order, that altcoin also used for alternative coin which if we don't get bitcoin we can get from altcoin. This is my opinion.

if no altcoin, may not be the trading coin that we know today. there may be, but there would be little option to redeem bitcoin with the existing currency.
