    Altcoins did a big part on bitcoin helping bitcoin be promoted to the cryptocurrency world.But i think it doesnt matter if there will be no altcoins on bitcoin because bitcoinitself can stand alone and keep growing on its own without altcoins

    Alt coins has did a great job on bitcoin, Alt coin makes bitcoin the mother of all cryptocurrencies. This helps us too. By trading we can earn. But i think bitcoin can survive even if it is there is no alt coins.

    You are right, but sometimes the child becomes as competitor to it's own mother. But in reality if there is no bitcoin then there won't be chances for creation of any alt coins. But I do see, alt coins as a testing phases of future bitcoin's implementations and enhancements.

    Bitcoin started it all so all other altcoins are dependent and valued because of bitcoin .But bitcoin would still would have been a big success without altcoins.Yes it has created more interest with other alcoins coming but still bitcoin has its own identity.

    i think there will be no bad effect on bitcoin without ult coin. bitcoin is now strengthening their position and is gradually increasing more and more. i think bitcoin do not need the support of any other currency.

    I do not think, even without altcoin, probably bitcoin prices could be reduced. Well, so many traders in the world, I think mostly from trading altcoin. I am pretty sure they will buy altcoin using bitcoin, so definitely it will affect the price of bitcoin

    yeah bitcoin is the master of all crypto currencies, and bitcoin do not need the support of any other currency, at the time when bitcoin was alone, its price increase was much faster as everyone was investing in there, and now people have found profit in altcoins also.

    You meant if Satoshi Nakamoto did not open source Bitcoin? I think alt coins will still come... just the speed of the crypto community would be much slower

    Bitcoin can survive without altcoins because as far as I know, altcoins were only originally introduced to enable trading for crypto-currencies. Correct me if I am wrong about that though.

    Also bitcoin is already been publish and many stores are using bitcoin as payment.. so even altcoin is gone or never exist bitcoin will still there and we can still use  those coins as our online money. bitcoin will still stay alive.. and more people are planning to adopt it.. if you know about the news in brazil there is 150 stores or or think more are accepting bitcoin as payment and i think more countries will be the same as brazil..
    And the other country is singapore which is you can withdraw and deposit bitcoin easy with their bitcoin atm using your phone..

    I have to agree with you.

    I know a lot of people who got started in crypto by using Doge as a joke first. They now use Bitcoin all the time. Doge has helped Bitcoin a lot. Although, Litecoin did help Bitcoin, because Dogecoin was based off of Litecoin, no Litecoin means no Dogecoin, no Dogecoin means less Bitcoin users. All the other shitcoins are only here for some people to make money.

    What about "Bitcoin with Altcoin"?

    We could create a separate data structure, only understood by a new client version. This way, old clients could never upgrade, and never have to use the new altcoin. But they could, if they wanted to. Maybe we call it SequesteredSignature Bitcoin?

    I like altcoin as they allow anyone to multiply our bitcoins quick as to loose them, bitcoin without altcoins would maybe get a bigger value, as the market capitalization would be all into just one, but altcoins can make you rich the same way bitcoin made to a few, thats why people play altcoin market.

    Well bitcoin without altcoin?hmmmm?Huh actualy, without it Bitcoins will still be exist but not as fast to become a popular,...Because we have to admit that through altcoins bitcoin became popular.  why?aside from they cloned bitcoin they also promote it by buying the altcoin currency for them to have a bitcoin by means on of converting from altcoins to btc. Wink

    I do not think there is something very different between altcoins with bitcoin , bitcoin altcoins need to exist because they are mostly compared and used
    bitcoin and in my opinion , only a few alts have a goal in bitcoin ecosystem , I do not want to mention a particular coin but
    bitcoin need some alternatives when you do not want others to track your transactions .

    Altcoins added some fame to bitcoin at first but then, some altcoins gone scam or they couldn't do what they effered so they affected bitcoin in a bad way lately. I wish there weren't so many pump&dump shitcoins everywhere but no-one can stop them popping out... So what we need to do is, we need to stick to bitcoin and the other 1 or 2 altcoins and forget the rest. I personally wouldn't trust anything but litecoin as an alt. Eth is completely garbage to me.
