I have invested in many ICOs and have been in loss overall but to be frank I am happy because I learned a lot too. I do think altcoins are the backbone of bitcoin ecosystem though.

Altcoins have become a way to get bitcoin faster only to people that bought the coins at a low price and got it sold for a higher price. On the other hand, there are also people that bought that very same altcoin at a high price and got it sold for a much lower price.

But altcoin have no chance to change people interest in bitcoin. Most of etherium users sure that bitcoin can cooperate with etherium. I am agree that price of altcoin always depemd on the price of bitcoin. So I have no worry or problem with altcoin.
