Bitcoin always need an alt coin to compare with it is like fiat in each country if there is only one fiat in all country you can not determine the standard economy of each country like in crypto currency we all know that bitcoin is the best digital coin because bitcoin dominates all alt coin its value is huge and continuously increasing.
that is not true at all.
nobody ever compares bitcoin with altcoins and if you do, you are doing a wrong thing. it is like comparing apples and oranges. because all the altcoins so far have been a pump and dump scheme and died after a while.
Right, because bitcoin and altcoin I think is very different. Bitcoin can live without altcoin, but altcoin without bitcoin will die.
Because the altcoin price is still cheap then it can be very easy to dump and pump by dev or a group, in contrast to the bitcoin price is already high in this case would be difficult to pump and dump bitcoin for people who have little capital haha.

i don't see things only as black and white. altcoins won't die without bitcoin.
there are actually many good innovations in altcoins too, i am not going to name any names because it will attract a lot of hate but you can check out some of the old altcoins in the altcoin announcement boards and see some good projects with good innovations.
although this doesn't mean they haven't been getting pump and dumped !
