I don't think so because without altcoins bitcoinwill jot have this popularity, and start from the forum where most of the activity is focused.

some people seem to forget that bitcoin was first created and when it reached a success level alone all these many many different altcoins started to show up out of nowhere.

so even if they disappear bitcoin will still remain and stay string.

I think the price not that good like what is current price since there is no competition happens and only bitcoin is on the world of crypto currency, bitcoin will need to be more popular to increase its value and alt coin will be depending on the price of bitcoin.

Well, for me in my opinion even altcoin disappear bitcoin will still be exist. Though we know that bitcoin was started without altcoin, only the things without alt it will be hard for the users to buy BTC due to the price is expensive.. But we knew also bitcoin became popular quickly because of altcoin.

Bitcoin can very easily last without altcoins since it's the core and it's not dependent on altcoins in anyway, I guess it's just that some BTC will be annoyed since they are using it "and I doubt altcoins will disappear anyway as well", Altcoins can't last without bitcoins since altcoins completely depend on it.

Well, i think Altcoin is made because it give us short way to make bitcoins, you can say that altcoin is a way to reach the bitcoin. Although bitcoin is original crypto currency and altcoin is a copy of bitcoin. But both are important in its own ways and also both give us profit.

I really like altcoins, of course there are to many scam developers around and nasty whales and I have been burnt by both but that does not mean that digital currencies are bad and I think they are now a solid part of many people's lives and they can do a lot of good if run correctly.

Some people buy the bitcon directly with the fiat. Some other people buy the bitcoin using the altcoin.

Altcoins contribute a lot of Bitcoin's popularity and value. The hundreds of altcoins out there are all traded against BTC and a big number of altcoin miners mine altcoins only to convert them to Bitcoin. Then you have the fact that most exchanges that allow USD-BTC trades require that you verify your identity which is not ideal for many people. You don't have to reveal your identity when converting altcoins to Bitcoin.

But being an altcoin trader, I am highly dependent on alternate crypto currencies to make possibility of earning bitcoins. I agree, it is just one of the application of bitcoin system that I'm using for my earning purposes. Fundamentally bitcoin does not need any other altcoins for its growth and survival.
