Total bummer. While I did pick the Minnesota Timberwolves to win it all at the start of this year, I really hoped we would see another LeBron vs Golden State Warriors playoff matchup. It just wasnt in the cards this year. The trade reversal for a center really hurt them, as did not having enough time with Luka. Next year
And when you see Gobert scoring that much because the Lakers chooses small, then it's bound to happen that they will lost this game. From what I heard, Gobert has just combine 14 points in the first 4 games.
Now he had a monster games, 27 points and 24 rebounds, that is huge number for him.
It was the second chance points that killed the Lakers in that game.
They made a good run in the third quarter to keep it close, but it just wasnt enough to get the win.
The problem is no real adjustments. They stuck with small ball even though they were getting punished inside.
Honestly, theyre lucky the Wolves didnt shoot well from the outside, if they did, this would've been a blowout.
Maybe next year the Lakers will have to look for a good center or maybe not, who knows.
They had a good center I guess, but they choose not to use him.
